In 2003, he founded Scott Harris, London’s first independent equity capital markets advisory firm. The company quickly gained a reputation for new standards in excellence and professionalism, becoming the first in its sector to be authorized and regulated by the FCA. Over the next 13 years, Scott Harris advised over 100 companies on investor relations and transaction communications – including 20 members of the FTSE 100, as well as international companies from Europe, North America, Africa, and Australasia. In 2016, Scott Harris was acquired by Rothschild & Co, one of the world’s leading financial advisory groups. Stephen was appointed Executive Vice-Chairman of the Investor Relations business, where he led international expansion and assisted clients with complex capital markets challenges. Since 2024, Stephen has been bringing his entrepreneurial experience and strategic vision to various advisory mandates to help growth-oriented companies – such as velaw – create long-term value and strengthen their market position.
